N-LASE system assisting new Consortium at Heriot Watt University

The Medical Device Manufacturing Centre (MDMC) based at Heriot Watt University is now the home of one of our flagship Benchtop laser systems. The MDMC has been established to provide medical device developers and manufacturers with the advice, technical expertise and facilities essential for companies that are seeking to translate medical device concepts to small batch commercial prototypes.

The MDMC houses a variety of laser-based equipment as well as an extensive suite of analysis equipment and other manufacturing equipment. 

The Needham N-Lase Benchtop can handle laser marking of various solid materials from hard plastic to metals. It is also capable of laser engraving. The system is able to precisely mark required shapes, numbers, letters and symbols.
